A spacecraft is a complex group of interrelated subsystems. The engineering challenge is apparent; other limitations, such as budgetary and time constraints, are equally difficult. Discussion here will focus on engineering.

Design Process

Space Systems Engineering encompasses the spacecraft's entire life cycle from development to space systems operations and eventual end of life. It is an organized and disciplined method broken down into compartmentalized processes with design milestones, measures of success and well-defined team responsibilities.
